The Manwatu Digi Awards

Last night was the first annual Manwatu Digi Awards. It was an exciting night that was held at the Regent on Broadway. There were 653 entries, and one of our own students in Room 21 was a finalist in the Digital Photo in the Years 1-3 category.
Congratulations to you Atahwai. You took such a great photo, with great line, colour and contrast. We are very proud of you!

Room 21 Hip Hop Jump Jam

We love doing our fitness every morning. It gets our body and brain ready for the day ahead. Room 21 usually does 1 or 2 songs but today we decided to do all six songs. Here is video of some of the Room 21 students moving and grooving to the song Stop, Drop and Roll. We are getting really good at the moves.

Rugby World Cup Winners!

Welcome back to school! We are very excited for the start of Term 4. It will be a busy term with lots of things happening. We are extremely proud to say that the All Blacks won the Rugby World Cup 2011 in a tough game with France. It was very tense but we are so proud of everyone who worked really hard to make it happen.
Room 21 made another wordle using words to show our feelings about it. We think it's amazing and we are very proud to be World Cup Winners.

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

Wow, what a fun Monday! It was great to come to school and talk about all the snowy adventures we had. Most of us went outside on Sunday night to play in the snow and loved having a snowfight! Others made snow angels and snow men and liked feeling the crunchy snow in their fingers. We are doing some writing this week about our experiences in the snow. We hope to share them with you soon.
Here is another wordle we made about the snow!
